Epoxy floor repairs and recoating on the Gold Coast
Worn or damaged coated floors need diagnosis before another layer is applied. Peeling, impact damage, cracks, worn traffic areas and failed previous coatings can have different causes, so the first step is deciding whether a local repair, broader recoat or full removal is appropriate.
Common repair and restoration enquiries
- Peeling or flaking coatings
- Worn garage and workshop floors
- Cracks and local concrete damage
- Old coatings that need removal
- Colour or finish refreshes
- Commercial floors with worn traffic areas
When recoating may be possible
A sound existing coating may sometimes be prepared and recoated, but adhesion, compatibility and the underlying slab need to be assessed. If the old coating is failing across the floor, removing it back to a suitable substrate may be the more reliable approach.
Repairing concrete before epoxy
Cracks and defects need to be considered as part of the preparation. A coating should not be treated as a structural repair. Where movement or structural concerns are present, further assessment may be needed before cosmetic flooring work proceeds.

Send photos of the whole floor and close ups of the damaged areas, along with the suburb and approximate size. This helps determine whether the job looks like local repair, recoating or a full rework before arranging the next step.
